"Mid-range villas within striking distance of Ubud."
There is much to like about the Bayad Ubud Villas, not least the beautiful pool around which they sit. Surrounded by mature, lush and very nicely maintained vegetation, the pool is a wonderful spot to relax with a book. The villa we stayed in also had its own private pool which was shady and cool. During very hot weather this would certainly be a bonus. The beds in the two rooms were excellent; large with thick, comfortable mattresses and mosquito net surrounds. On the down side, the up-keep of the villas could be a little better. For example, the bathrooms look a bit tired and lack things like the towel rails needed in this enviroment. Small details, like the missing bath plug, were also a minor frustration. The villas also sit some way out from Ubud itself. The 20 minute ride into town is fine for a while, but would become irksome after a few days, I suspect. The fact that the last free shuttle into town leaves at 4pm is also limiting - an evening service would help. Staff were all very pleasant and willing to meet requests. The laundry service was fantastic - inexpensive and fast. Breakfast served in the room each morning was lovely - though options were rather limited. The coffee could be improved...but perhaps that's Bali. Overall, you get what you pay for and Bayad Ubud Villas certainly offer very good value for money. One note for families - the two bedrooms in the Villa in which we stayed were not interconnected; you had to go outside to get from one to the other.

"Nice, comfortable, relaxing hotel"
Good place to stay. Maybe a few small improvements could me made. Bathroom needed to have an update. good variety at breakfast but quality could be a bit higher. Could maybe vary the music played in reception as I got fed up of hearing the same sounds. Staff helpful, liked the main pool area to relax in. Overall I enjoyed my time there

"Wonderful!!"
Loved our stay here and extended an extra NT. Service and staff were outstanding and definitely went the extra mile for us. It is a bit outside of the centre of Ubud but they have a shuttle and it IS walkable. A special thanks to Putu for all of his help.

"Beautiful hotel in rice field"
Amazing hotel in rice field, super dreamy and romantic especially staying in the villa bale! Outdoor shower is super cool! Love waking up to the rice field views. The staff is absolutely amazing!!! The pool is super clean and upkept. I felt so relaxed staying at this hotel! The only downside is the food. We ordered room service a couple times but didn't enjoy the food very much. The breakfast they offered is better but wouldn't recommend dining at the restaurant or ordering room service. Other than that this hotel was just amazing.

"The BEST Honeymoon"
I only have one regret from my honeymoon...it's that I wish I stayed at Ayung Ubud longer! This hotel was absolutely wonderful, hidden on the cliffs of Ubud it was an absolutely amazing stay. The hotel staff were very accommodating, the rooms were beautifully decorated and nice, and the view of the Ayung river/forest amazing. We went during off season so only one restaurant was available but it was delicious, traditional Balinese cuisine. Make sure you get the 1 bedroom villa with pool (with breakfast) if it's available. You won't regret it! Thanks for an amazing stay, Ayung!

"Excellent!"
We recently stayed at the Padma resort in Ubud, Bali for 5 nights. The hotel was excellent. Staff were great, room was fantastic, morning buffet was great, pool was great. No complaints. The hotel is around a 40 minute drive to Ubud town centre but a free shuttle runs from the Padma to Ubud many times a day. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in the Ubud area I highly recommend the Padma.
