My wife and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon, which I'm not sure was such a great idea as nothing could really beat it afterwards. Fromy the moment we were greeted at the airport and taking to the beautiful railay beach, we were in love with this place. The staff (especially May) were exceptional and the rooms, food everything is exquisite. You're also right in railay, which is such a cool little town. Would go back in a heart beat.

Sand Sea was incredible for the price. I can't imagine a more stunning location. Beachside restaurant and pool, and the pictures on Expedia don't do it justice. Sand Sea is much nicer in real life. We'll definitely be going back.
Beautiful Hotel. Very conveniently located near restaurants and bars. Beautiful view from infinity pool. We reserved the deluxe room -- amazing. They had swan towel art and fresh flowers decorating our bed upon arrival. Also had complementary bottled water. Bathroom was also gorgeous.
It is called Great View for a Reason.
PROS: Views, Breakfast, Pool
CONS: Free mini bar shouldn't be advertised (2 little juice boxes and 2 wee cans of fanta), restaurant (expensive and not all that good), Be prepared for lots of walking to room and to East Railay and beaches and restaursnts.
Hotel staff was efficient and friendly. Close to the beach. Quieter than alternative options on Railay Beach. You get what you pay for. Bathrooms were in typical Thai fashion, shower toilet sink all in same small space. Not a luxury hotel by any means but comfortable enough. Breakfast offered was best we received in Thailand. Neighboring monkeys and cliff views were a plus.
"A great hotel with a beautiful setting and view."
We stayed for 3 nights. The location and view from the hotel is wonderful and the staff very friendly. The bungalow we had was a bit dated but it looked as though some had been renovated. Amazing view from the pool. Easy enough to walk across to both East and West Railay for eating and beaching.
Although on a peninsula, visitors reach Railay Beach only by boat, 10 minutes from Ao Nang and 30 minutes from Krabi. The West Beach, surrounded by scenic limestone cliffs and tropical jungle, beckons sunbathers with soft sand and spectacular sunsets. The fantastic limestone cliffs challenge rock climbers from around the world, while instructors lead classes for less-experienced climbers.
