"great place to stay"
Everyone of the Lobby staff and the cleaning staff were great. They went out of their way to answer any question and to help you in any way. The hotel provided free wi-fi ( you had to sign in every day.) We were very pleased.

Pullman Kuching

1a Jalan Mathies, Kuching - Map
"Good Location"
The environment is good. The room is comfortable. But the design is a bit lower than my expectation. Bathroom looks good but there is some hair left behind. The hotel should look into the housekeeping for this standard of hotel.

"Great location in the city"
Hotel is a few minutes' walk from the waterfront, a mall (Plaza Merdeka), nice cafes, Chinatown (which has authentic local delicacies like pork satay and Sarawak laksa), souvenir and handicraft shops as well as historical attractions such as the Sarawak textile museum and the Old Courthouse. Twin room (Room 108) was spacious, had a large bathtub and a terrace overlooking a car park. There is a short flight of stairs (10 steps) leading to the hotel lift - something to consider if you have elderly people in your travelling party. Breakfast menu changes daily with local items and western options to choose from.

"Comfortable hotel right in the city center"
Fast check in and friendly staffs especially Encik Affiq who is all out to help us, from food recommendation, places of interest to even carrying our bags willingly to our car. He is always cheerful and very polite. Lobby is cosy . Security staffs are friendly too. Free parking with guards manning the car parks 24/7.

"Tucked away hidden paradise"
Very good location, hidden away - safe and secure with gate security. Staff are very friendly and courteous always happy to help. Get the sea view rooms or if able to stretch more, the baruk suite. Views are amazing, as you are slightly higher on the hill side looking out to the beach and bay. Amazing views of the sunset in the evenings with your own balcony. Clifftop pool (which is the closest from either seaview rooms or baruk suites) is the best. The infinity pool looking out to the beach/bay with the sun out, framed with palm/coconut trees and it's own waterfall (for that Peter Andre rendition) is as best as you will ever find anywhere in the world. For the management, I would suggest that some medernising to refresh the rooms would do wonders: small touches like improving the decor, flat screen TVs (not that we watched anything...), having a stocked mini bar, bath robes and luxury toiletries would definitely give it a 5 star feel. The bathrooms probably do need some work, showers were leaking at the tap for example. The resort was fairly quiet which may be because we were there in the middle of the week and it wasn't the school holidays. The restaurant served good food in the evenings and there was also a bar, where the staff were all very friendly, but again as it was quite quiet it missed having a buzz around the place. I would also recommend the website have a refresh and it probably needs better marketing, the location is absolutely stunning!
