"Amazing onsen experience"
Good getaway from the main cities. Comfortable living arrangements and an amazing onsen experience. This hotel has access to another onsen within a short walk (<3min). English friendly staff. Delicious buffet. Only complaint is that it's really far from the train/subway, looking at 14-18mins of uphill walking. I'd recommend finding a hotel shuttle

"Worth the Splurge!"
This place was about a 20-25 minute uphill walk to the ryokan (or you can just call for the shuttle). When we entered, the staff was extremely friendly and and spoke a decent amount of English. They sat us down to check us in and brought all the paperwork to us. Then we chose a time for dinner. I chose 8pm so I had enough time to enjoy the baths! We got to our room and it was a pretty standard hotel room with 2 Japanese style twin beds, but we had our own private onsen with a pretty nature-y view! However, I got in my Yukata and went to the public baths right away. There was 1 outdoor and 3 indoor ones, but it really hit's the spot since a couple of them had jets and I was sore from all that walking on my trip already. It was simple and no frills, but just what I needed. Needless to say, I came back the next morning as well. Dinner was a 10 course traditional meal and breakfast was a meal set. We really couldn't beat it; especially with the price we paid! Everything was timeless and beautifully presented. The food was elegant and delicious. A great way to end our night and start off our morning! I seriously could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend.

"Great for an indulgent getaway"
Hotel was great location and a bit of a splurge but totally worth it. With a storm overnight we were able to curl up in front for the fire with complimentary champagne. It's not somewhere to come solely for the onsen - it's indoors with no view. But the location is great, close to a cable car stop. The hotel also offers a shuttle from the ropeway/train station. Definitely worth enquiring about before you travel.

"OK OK "
The private onsen in the room was very ideal to rekindle relationship in an environment only surrounded by bamboo trees and cold air! Both dinner and breakfast were beyond our expectations. Simple but very delicious.

"Snow in March!"
We checked in May 14th into a suite that said slept 3 people. Upon arriving they said room was only for two people. So we paid an additional 85 yens for a roll out bed in the living room. The bedroom had two beds but I guess since it was 3 adults they don't allow that. So my husband and I each had our own bed because I believe it's taboo for men and women to sleep in bed together. My brother slept in roll away bed in living room. Room was nice and spacious and the only one with a balcony and large tub. Woke up and it had snowed overnight so that was a big plus. The balcony was covered in white snow and we had a direct view of Mr. Fuji once the fog cleared. Breakfast buffet was delicious and had a great variety. My brother attempted to go into the baths but since he has tattoos he was not allowed. When he asked staff if he could go in they said no and he could only use his room bath. I was lucky enough to experience women's bath area. It was fully stocked with towels, hair bands, beauty products. We attempted to book the free shuttle to the train station but apparently it was booked. Since we could not wait we paid to take a taxi to train station. Front desk staff was ok. The man was a little rude when I asked questions and targeted my husband for discussion instead of me.

"Cosy hotel with lovely ocean view"
We upgraded to a 55sqm suite with access to the Ocean Lounge - an improvement from the standard 27sqm room. Only downside is the hotel shuttle does not serve Odawara station on weekends which is a bit inconvenient.
