The Bali Dream Villa Resort in Canggu was an amazing experience. The hotel was beautiful and the staff from reception, housekeeping and restaurant were all amazing!! The hotel is close to the beach however best way to get to places is with a scooter. The staff helped us in renting one. I would definitely stay there again.
It is our third time back at Tugu Bali. First 2 times for meals and finally for a stay. The staff is always warm and welcoming, especially to our 7-month old baby. Each time we return, we feel like family.
Pre-arrival emails are prompt and effective. We asked for a baby seat for the airport transfers and baby cot in room and sent relevant images to explain. They delivered.
The lobby is spacious, beautiful traditional wood-based and inviting for a read, playing wth baby and a relaxing meal. Sounds of water relaxes you. Great massage. Each room is a unique Balinese style, our came with a lovely little pool and beautiful outdoor bath and bathroom with carp swimming nearby. We highly recommend this place for couples, people looking to destress and families with children. We will be back.
Food is excellent as always. Beautifully prepared, delicious with healthy options like brown rice and superfoods breakfast. Amazing fresh juices. Great new Japanese restaurant. Picky eaters will be happy here.
But above all, it is the amazing staff, from waiters to reception to the friendly managers, everyone. This trumps everything.

TUGU BALI HOTEL Nestled between the pristine, wave-sung sunset beach of Canggu, the whispering rice fields, the quaint …More
We really enjoyed our stay in a one-bedroom villa. The hotel was in a quiet area and very relaxing. We also really appreciated the staff, who were very helpful and accommodating when we connected with them about missing our connecting flight.
Lovely hotel location a little out of the main town and takes time to get there although this is due to the traffic!!
Rooms spacious and clean with excellent towels and robes!!
Swimming pool nice overlooking the beach and stunning views of the sunset.
Food is varied and pleasant.
Staff can not do enough for you. They make the hotel.
There are coach parties in the evening so best book a table in the restaurant if your eating in!
However there are loads of tasty offerings within 10 minutes of the hotel so convenient for that.
If there was one criticism of my trip ( although probably not the hotels fault) and that was the transport from the airport. When booking through Expedia the assigned transport company does. Or have any name signs in arrivals nor is there any booking confirmation received. Just to Pont out. Make sure you have something or a name of the company so you can contact in arrival.
Overall I would go again for a restful time. If a lively scene floats your boat then something closer to the main town with kid be perhaps more suitable.
We toured Bali for the month of February 2015 and stayed at Enigma in Canggu for 3 days. Villa is small with only three units. We were fortunate to stay here without any other guests, so had the pool provided for the double rooms to ourselves. Lena was extra special and assisted us in every way. You will want transportation here as Echo Beach is a hike on a narrow road through the rice paddys. Lena can get you bicycles to rent. Recommended. You will meet well bred horses at a stable nearby and local cattle. Roosters will be your wake up call. Just down the road behind the villa is an active temple where we heard ceremonies our first night. Echo Beach (Motto: Hard to get to and hard to forget)has several restaurants where you will eat at picnic tables watching the surfers and the sunset. Rent a beach lounge/umbrella and hang out for the day. One day we hired a driver to take us to Balian Beach (another surfer hang out) Black Sand Beach not really attractive because tide brings in plastic trash residue from river emptying into ocean , but saving grace is hotel there allows you to use pool facilities if you order lunch and a BingTang (beer). Visited Pura Tanah Lot temple on the way back to Enigma. Pretty, but warning translation = lots of tourists!
Villa was exactly like the photos and well suited to a family with teenagers. stairs are not safe for toddlers. Pool fantastic and rooms of high quality. A long drive from shopping but we liked that and having the beach close by helped us relax.
Located on Bali's southern coast, Canggu is a peaceful village with historic temples, traditional Balinese villas, and black sand beaches. Cafes offer local Indonesian fare served with views of the surrounding rice fields and colorful sunsets over Canggu Beach. During the day, visitors can play a round of golf, practice yoga, visit a day spa, or conquer Canggu's challenging waves by surfboard.
