"Tranquility, cuisine and fun programs - the best."
If you need to have the total package of a culinary experience, water sports, tours and resort life...this is your place. I enjoyed the stress free pampering of a well trained staff and nice facilities.
Located on the beachfront in East Bali, the hotel offers enjoy terrain and scenery that ranges from the flat, sandy coast, to …More
If escaping the touristy parts of Bali was our goal, we definitely succeeded in that endeavor. The Padma is so incredibly far north and probably farther than we actually needed to be. Being anywhere from 5.1 to 8.6 miles north of the heart of Ubud meant decent drives without rain and impatiently long drives during heavy rain, of which there was an abundance of during our stay. Benefits of being so far removed from the touristy parts meant that we had a piece of Bali to ourselves; encompassed in nature and sealed by the morning mist and fog that the mountain provided. This was a beautiful and serene experience that only the Padma could provide, being located on the mountain side and all.
The downside to the hotel is the overall service. I had emailed the concierge and the F&B email addresses listed on the hotel website and did not receive a response from either address for at least a week before I decided to call the hotel and follow up via email. The room was never thoroughly cleaned, with dead termites and other bugs in the corners and behind/under objects (e.g., trashcan); and sheets that needed replacing due to permanent stains. As for the Puhu Restaurant & Lounge, where we spent more money than we should have, the service was always decent (except for one night when they had an event and left us 80% of the time unattended) but the food was never ever consistent. We ordered the same meal for a couple of nights but it was prepared and tasted completely different.
Amazing hotel in rice field, super dreamy and romantic especially staying in the villa bale! Outdoor shower is super cool! Love waking up to the rice field views. The staff is absolutely amazing!!! The pool is super clean and upkept. I felt so relaxed staying at this hotel!
The only downside is the food. We ordered room service a couple times but didn't enjoy the food very much. The breakfast they offered is better but wouldn't recommend dining at the restaurant or ordering room service. Other than that this hotel was just amazing.
An affordable luxury. Staying in this hotel was very breathtaking after quite a long scooter ride from Denpasar. The staffs are very helpful and very friendly. The cleanliness, the quietness & the view are the main points of my pleasant stay. I will definitely go back to D Tunjung again whenever I came back to Candidasa. However, seems the pool needs to be more maintained, the water was not really clear when I was there, but apart from it, everything is perfect!
A haven of quiet relaxation, the fishing village of Candi Dasa on Amuk Bay is the antitheses of frenetic Kuta to the southwest. With a rocky coastline, most swimming is confined to resort pools, although some of Bali’s best diving and snorkelling is found in this area. Candi Dasa is also a great base from which to explore the historical and cultural sights of the east, including the pre-Hindu village of Tenganan, the sacred baths of Tirtagangga, and Bali's mother temple, Pura Besakih.
